Went on a little day trip to Pass a Grille and stopped in for a drink. The bartender recommended the sangria.. Wow, this is by far the best sangria I have ever tasted. Black cherry, cinnamon, orange... It is absolutely amazing. I will definitely come back here.

The owner of this establishment is playing games with reviews on this site and Facebook. Don't be fooled by the cool aide. Food was actually pretty good but $4.95 for chips and salsa is a bit ridiculous, even on the beach. The service was terrible because they cannot afford to hire any staff. The bartender/waiter/host/etc was overwhelmed while Karen's boyfriend Bob sat on his big you know what and drank beer. The atmosphere really is not indicative of any Mexican restaurant known to man. Karen needs a big slap of reality!

Food appeared to be pre-made and dry. Not overly expensive, HOWEVER, no complimentary chips & salsa which is normally offered. One side order of rice, approximately 2 ounces fully cooked = $4.00 and the same amount of retried beans = $3.00. Owner approached table after dinner and placed blame on waiter (who offered excellent service) and kitchen staff for various miscommunications. Won't be back, and suspect restaurant will not remain in business much longer.

My new favorite place! Queso and chips, shrimp tacos and a margarita was my choice for the evening and I wasn't disappointed! Service was friendly and entertaining. Can't wait to share this place with my friends!

WARNING This place seems to be closed for business. After calling first to be sure they were open (we got a recording saying their business hours) we showed up to find the place in disarray, with no humans in sight.

Liked the literary name, and this place is sleek and elegant yet warm after a fire and remodel. Lots of tables outside and pretty lights beckon too, and it is steps from the beach, like everything in Pass-A-Grille. I was seeking the hibiscus tequila from Centennario, but no one seems to have this delicious spirit (but they seemed interested). Delicious homemade chips, and they were very friendly about creating a vegan quesadilla for me with rice on the side. It was huge!

We found this place by accident but I am so glad we took a chance and went in. Great food, great service, a beautiful decor, very clean, and a full bar. This is family owned and operated and there is more than enough seating to take everyone you know, you will not be disappointed. The best nachos I've ever had and I'm in Denver! Say hi to Rob behind the bar and try to get Laken to wait on you, they are a great team.

Extremely FRESH ingredients undoubtedly make all the difference! If you know quality food and quality service, you will find yourself a regular here year round. The authenticity of the cuisine from the fresh citrus flavor in the cocktails to the handmade (daily) tortilla chips, have proven be a refreshing change of pace in Pass-a-grille.

Great food and service.Hubby & I had the Totopos for starters. Best guacamole I've ever had. The wedge salad was delicious, along with the chicken burrito. Will definitely be back next time in Pass-A-Grille.

We celebrated our 25th anniversary and renew our vows on the beach. We were looking for a place to have a private dinner with our family and guest after the ceremony. We checked a few places and were not very impressed. We never even heard back from a few of them. We are so glad we found The Tequila Mockingbird! The minute I walked in I felt so at peace!! Karen is amazing!! She really is willing to do anything to make your event the best it can be! They do have a private room! We were so blessed to have found her! She was so accommodating that she decided to close the restaurant to have it all to ourselves. It could not have been better. Everything was great. The food, the cake, sangria and margaritas and let's not forget the sopapillas. The place was decorated beautifully. The tables and chairs looked spectacular. It could have not been better anywhere else. I highly recommend The Tequila Mockingbird Bar & Grille. Karen is the best! Thank you!

Experience was pretty bad. First, not sure how times they kept emphasizing it's fresh ingredients, but sorry...fresh is the norm, no need to harp on it. Second, I ordered a beef burrito and got chicken instead. Mistakes are fine but own up to it. Rather the two servers/managers told me that the staff cooking don't speak English well and they got excited cooking so they made a mistake. Sorry but it was entered into the computer as chicken according to the receipt...don't be demeaning to your staff. Lastly, anyone in the restaurant business would have least comped or discounted the meal but alas, nothing. Pretty poor guys. The food was ok, but horrendous management.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
